According to publicly available information in the industry, the construction project of the silicon carbide motor controller for electric vehicles was officially launched in March 2025. After the project is fully completed and put into operation, it is expected that the annual production capacity of the controller will reach 300,000 units. As the project progresses steadily, the R&D and manufacturing capabilities of the powertrain for new energy vehicles have been rapidly enhanced. From the initial research and development to mass production, a complete supply chain system has been established, laying a solid foundation for high-quality management in the industry.

Meanwhile, the high-voltage platform of new energy vehicles is shifting from the traditional 400V system to the new 800V high-voltage system. This shift has brought about a crucial change to the internal architecture of new energy vehicles.

If the motor controllers of new energy vehicles adopt silicon carbide components, it will have a positive impact on the energy consumption and range of the entire vehicle, better meeting the requirements of the 800V high-voltage platform. According to data statistics, the number of new energy vehicle models equipped with silicon carbide electronic control systems has been continuously increasing. Their application scenarios are not only limited to high-end passenger cars, but have also expanded to commercial vehicles and construction machinery vehicles.
